ESMO 2026: BXP-001 Plus Radiotherapy Significantly Extends Progression-Free Survival in iNATURE Advanced Tumor Randomized Trial

The iNATURE trial, presented at ESMO 2026, showed that BXP-001 combined with radiotherapy significantly extended progression-free survival in a randomized controlled study of advanced tumors. The trial was co-sponsored by Genvoy Bio/Bay Bio and the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, with the phase 2/3 results presented as rapid oral and poster presentations in Madrid, Spain on October 24, 2026. The original report also claims notable efficacy in post-surgical recurrence prevention, but lists no specific PFS figures, sample size, or hazard ratio.

ESMO 2026 HCC Updates: C-CAR031 and BGB-B2033 Show Preliminary Efficacy, LEAP-012 Long-Term Analysis Shows No OS Benefit

ESMO 2026 published abstracts from three advanced HCC studies. Phase I updates for C-CAR031 and BGB-B2033 showed preliminary antitumor activity, while the long-term LEAP-012 analysis showed no OS benefit. C-CAR031 achieved an ORR of 44% and DCR of 92% in 36 patients, with tumor lysis syndrome-related deaths and interstitial lung disease reported; confirmed ORR across BGB-B2033 dose groups in 110 patients ranged from 16.0% to 35.7%, and 450 mg was selected as the recommended phase II dose.

Henlius Serplulimab ASTRIDE US Bridging Data to Be Presented Orally at ESMO 2026

Henlius released the ASTRIDE abstract at ESMO 2026. The US head-to-head bridging study will be presented as an oral report on serplulimab versus atezolizumab, both with chemotherapy, as first-line treatment for ES-SCLC. At a median follow-up of 14.1 months, median OS was 12.4 months with serplulimab versus 10.2 months with atezolizumab; 24-month OS rates were 32.2% and 17.6%. Safety was generally comparable between groups with no new safety signals; HANSIZHUANG had 10 studies accepted at the congress.

Why it matters: ASTRIDE provides head-to-head OS and 24-month OS rate comparisons in a US population for serplulimab versus atezolizumab.

    ESMO 2026: Qilu's QL1706 Posts 30.95-Month OS in Phase 3 First-Line Cervical Cancer

At ESMO 2026, Qilu Pharmaceutical reported phase 3 overall survival of 30.95 months for QL1706, a PD-1/CTLA-4 bispecific antibody, plus chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab as first-line treatment of persistent, recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer.

Why it matters: The brief gives the QL1706 phase 3 first-line cervical cancer OS readout of 30.95 months for comparison with other regimens.

ESMO 2026: Professor Huang Jun Interprets the CRIT Precision-Targeted Neoadjuvant Study in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer

At ESMO 2026, Professor Huang Jun presented the CRIT phase 2 study, in which 49 patients with high-risk pMMR/MSS locally advanced rectal cancer achieved an overall pathological complete response (pCR) rate of 51.1%. Treatment was selected by RAS/BRAF status, using cetuximab beta or bevacizumab; pCR rates were 57.1% in the wild-type subgroup and 46.2% in the mutant subgroup. Of 47 patients who underwent surgery, 24 achieved pCR, and the R0 resection rate was 100%.
