📣#NewPublication: Results from the #MASTERPLAN randomised phase 2 trial have been presented at #ESMO26 and published in @TheLancetOncol.

💡The trial investigated whether adding stereotactic body radiotherapy, or SBRT, to chemotherapy could improve local control for people with high-risk, localised pancreatic cancer.

📊At 12 months, locoregional recurrence occurred in 20% of participants who received SBRT and chemotherapy, compared with 52% who received chemotherapy alone, without a clear increase in clinically important toxicity. A larger study is needed to confirm the findings.
