Leaked results from INTerpath-001 show a personalised mRNA vaccine plus pembrolizumab lowered the risk of melanoma returning, or death, by 42%.

The same vaccine is already in Phase 3 trials for non-small cell #lungcancer. Like the melanoma trial, they're testing it after surgery, when the removed tumour is used to build a vaccine for each person. That's why the lung trials focus on early-stage lung cancer, from high-risk stage I to IIIB.

Melanoma and lung cancer behave differently, so the lung trials need to report their own results. But this is the first Phase 3 evidence the approach can work.
