tAIM Thermal Immune Modulation Platform Showcased at NUS Medicine Event
Start here
The tAIM platform, a thermal physics-based adaptive immune modulation technology, was presented during the China Academic Collaboration Week hosted by NUS Medicine, where Shanghai Jiao Tong University Distinguished Professor Xu Xuemin delivered a keynote talk. The platform's core multimodal thermal therapy (MTT) works by inducing immunogenic cell death, releasing tumor antigens and damage-associated molecular patterns to reshape the tumor microenvironment. In liver cancer research, MTT was associated with expansion of CX3CR1+GPR56+ effector T cells and a reduced fraction of regulatory T cells, with the findings published in the journal Theranostics. The platform remains at the research and academic-presentation stage; clinical translation and validation in patients have not yet been reported.

Heat trend for this story

Participants counted above, heat below. The trend compares only the participants observed in full throughout, so its set can be smaller than the heat figure itself. Move the pointer or click the chart for an hour's reading; the left and right arrow keys work too.
