tAIM Thermal Immune Modulation Platform Presented at NUS Medicine China Academic Collaboration Week
The thermal physics-based adaptive immune modulation platform tAIM was presented at the China Academic Collaboration Week hosted by NUS Medicine, where Shanghai Jiao Tong University Distinguished Professor Xu Xuemin gave a keynote talk. Its core multimodal thermal therapy (MTT) induces immunogenic cell death and releases tumor antigens and DAMPs to reshape the microenvironment. In liver cancer research, expansion of CX3CR1+GPR56+ effector T cells and a reduced Treg fraction were observed, with the findings published in Theranostics.
The article pairs liver cancer immune markers and effector T cell changes with external-control pancreatic cancer OS data to clarify tAIM's mechanism and exploratory clinical signals.
