ResponseVerdict Overturns Validated Immunotherapy Signatures and Recovers Missed Responders
Start here
A computational tool called ResponseVerdict reorients immunotherapy response signatures by using measured responses from other treated patient cohorts rather than relying on conventional validation. In a study posted to bioRxiv on 22 October 2026, it was evaluated across 2,045 patients, where it raised AUROC by 0.14 compared with TIDE, and in 2,000 paired comparisons it significantly outperformed published predictors in 1,178. The work claims to overturn computationally validated signatures, recover patients those signatures missed as responders, and beat every published response predictor tested. What remains open is peer review, independent replication on additional cohorts, and whether the approach changes how signatures are selected for clinical use.
