SanegeneBio's SGB-9768 Cuts Proteinuria Up to 74.1% in Phase 2 Kidney Disease Trial
Start here
At ASN Kidney Week 2026, SanegeneBio presented interim results from the SGB-9768-003 Phase 2 study in kidney diseases. Among 39 patients completing week-24 follow-up, urine protein-to-creatinine ratio (UPCR) fell from baseline by 58.6% to 74.1%. Reductions were 58.6% in the 300 mg IgAN group, 74.1% in the 600 mg IgAN group, and 63.5% in the C3G/primary IC-MPGN group. Mean serum C3 dropped more than 92% by week 4 and alternative pathway activity was inhibited by more than 95%, with both effects sustained through week 24. The interim data support SGB-9768's complement-directed mechanism across IgAN and C3G/primary IC-MPGN populations; full Phase 2 results and later-stage development remain outstanding.
