Roivant's TYK2/JAK inhibitor reduces need for steroids in inflammatory eye disease

In brief

Brepocitinib (brand name Lisraya), a TYK2/JAK inhibitor from Roivant's subsidiary Priovant, met the primary endpoints in two identically designed Phase 3 trials, Clarity-1 and Clarity-2, in non-infectious uveitis. Median time to treatment failure exceeded 48 weeks on treatment versus 12 weeks on placebo, and 62% of treated patients were steroid-free at 48 weeks versus 20% on placebo.

Why it matters

Two Phase 3 trials show brepocitinib significantly extended time to treatment failure and reduced steroid use, superior to Humira on cross-trial comparison.
