Novo’s CagriSema achieves 25% weight loss in women, driven by younger patients

Novo Nordisk presented a post hoc analysis of the Phase 3 REDEFINE 1 trial at The Menopause Society 2026 annual meeting. Among 2,309 women, CagriSema produced mean weight loss of 25% at 68 weeks; stratified by menopausal stage, weight loss was 26.7% in premenopausal, 24.8% in perimenopausal, and 23.1% in postmenopausal women, versus 1.7% to 2.6% on placebo.
Why it matters
Provides weight-loss data in women stratified by menopausal stage, enabling comparison with Eli Lilly's published tirzepatide results by the same strata.
