Tsinghua Team Led by Sheng Ding Uses Totipotent Stem Cells to Drive Continuous Mouse Embryo Development

A team led by Sheng Ding at Tsinghua University published a study in Nature using totipotent stem cells to drive continuous development of mouse embryos in vitro, from the morula and blastocyst stages through gastrulation and organogenesis. The work overcomes the limitation of previous models, which could mimic only partial stages or could not sustain continuous development over the long term.
