Matrix stiffness shapes immunometabolic states and response to PD-1 blockade in gastric cancer
In brief
High matrix stiffness in gastric cancer is associated with collagen deposition, immune exclusion, and poorer response to PD-1 blockade, and it weakens CD8+ T cell effector function through F-actin remodeling, YAP nuclear enrichment, and LDHA-dependent glycolysis.
Why it matters
Links clinical cohort correlations with F-actin, YAP, and LDHA mechanism experiments to show how matrix stiffness affects PD-1 blockade response in gastric cancer.
