METiS Pharmaceuticals and Eli Lilly Sign LNP Delivery Collaboration Worth Up to About 1.1 Billion Dollars

METiS Pharmaceuticals (Jitai Tech) and Eli Lilly have entered a strategic collaboration on LNP delivery technology. Under the agreement, METiS will receive an upfront payment of over ten million US dollars and is eligible for up to about 1.1 billion US dollars in development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments. METiS will use its AI-driven ionizable lipid discovery and optimization platform AiLNP to develop next-generation LNP delivery technology with improved targeting and biodistribution, while Lilly will provide drug discovery, development and commercialization expertise to support the collaboration.
