#ESMO26 | Anbenitamab + HB1801

Am I reading this correctly?

55% of patients were HR-positive, yet none received endocrine therapy during the trial!

This trial started in 2023, and the comparator was THP.

Given the established role of endocrine therapy in HR+/HER2+ metastatic breast cancer, particularly during maintenance, how can we interpret these results without accounting for its omission?

This raises serious concerns about the trial design and the applicability of its findings to contemporary clinical practice.

I could understand leaving ET to the treating physician’s discretion, as in DB09 and HER2CLIMB-05. However, not including ET in the protocol at all is an entirely different matter. I hope I’m wrong, but my interpretation of the paper is that patients did not receive ET. Moreover, I couldn’t find any statement in the paper indicating that they did.

@dr_yakupergun I agree . Endocrine therapy should be part of Treatment. But lots of trial did not have it mandatory. They leave it upto treating physicians to decide.
