Alcon has completed its $550 million acquisition of Neurotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc., adding ENCELTO to its retinal disease portfolio. ENCELTO is an encapsulated cell therapy implanted surgically into the vitreous cavity for adults with idiopathic macular telangiectasia type 2 (MacTel Type 2), and was approved by the FDA in March 2025.
