Meticha Joins Eli Lilly in Strategic AI-LNP Delivery Platform Deal with Over $10 Million Upfront and Up to $1.1 Billion Milestones

Meticha (Jitai Tech) announced a strategic collaboration with Eli Lilly on its AI-driven LNP delivery platform AiLNP. Meticha will handle ionizable lipid discovery and LNP targeted-delivery optimization, while Lilly contributes drug discovery, development and commercialization resources. The deal includes an upfront payment of over $10 million, and Meticha is eligible for up to $1.1 billion in development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments. According to public deal records, this is the first strategic collaboration in China centered on a generative AI platform for LNP delivery, and one of the largest AI-driven extrahepatic LNP delivery platform deals globally.
