Roivant, continuing ascent, claims another victory for rare disease drug

Priovant Therapeutics announced positive results for brepocitinib in two Phase 3 studies of non-infectious uveitis. In Clarity-1 and Clarity-2, median time to treatment failure exceeded 48 weeks versus 12 weeks on placebo; treated patients also went 40 weeks without immunosuppressive steroids and met all secondary endpoints, including resolution of macular edema.
Why it matters
Two placebo-controlled Phase 3 trials disclosed median time to treatment failure and time without immunosuppressive steroids, allowing direct comparison of clinical efficacy.
