Hengrui Medicine's PD-L1/TGF-βRII bispecific antibody fusion protein relafutafusp alfa (brand name Aizele), combined with chemotherapy as first-line treatment for advanced HER2-negative gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, has been formally published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology as the phase 3 RELIGHT study.
Why it matters
RELIGHT enrolled 731 patients with HER2-negative advanced gastric cancer, mostly Chinese, providing large randomized controlled data on dual PD-L1/TGF-β pathway blockade in gastric cancer.
