'Molecular glue' stabilizes protein that inhibits development of non–small cell lung cancer and uterine cancer

In brief

In two peer-reviewed studies, a University of Michigan team showed that the PP2A molecular glue RPT04402 stabilizes the PP2A complex and suppresses growth of KRAS-mutant non–small cell lung cancer and high-grade uterine cancer in models.

Why it matters

Cell experiments showed adagrasib or trametinib destabilize PP2A; RPT04402 restored complex stability, delayed resistance in combination-treated mice, and showed tumor suppression in lung and uterine cancer models.
