FOLFIRI Plus Ramucirumab Versus Paclitaxel Plus Ramucirumab as Second-Line Therapy for Taxane-Pretreated Patients With Advanced or Metastatic Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma: Final Results of the Phase III IKFs602/AIO RAMIRIS Study

🔬 Phase III (n=317): FOLFIRI + ramucirumab vs paclitaxel + ramucirumab, second-line, in taxane-pretreated advanced GEA. Co-primary endpoints: OS and ORR.
➡️ Median OS 8.7 vs 7.5 mo; HR 0.95; p=.33
➡️ ORR 25.3% vs 22.6% (p=.29); median PFS 5.5 vs 3.7 mo, HR 0.7 (p=.003)
➡️ Grade 3–5 AEs 70% vs 68%
✅ Co-primary endpoints were not met; PFS was clearly improved, supporting personalized treatment decisions in taxane-pretreated advanced GEA.
