Takeda's Adcetris and Novo Nordisk's Awiqli win expanded indications in China; Adcetris for first-line CD30-positive PTCL

On October 23, 2026, Takeda announced that its CD30 ADC Adcetris (brentuximab vedotin for injection) was approved in China for an expanded indication; Novo Nordisk's Awiqli also received an expanded indication approval. The NMPA formally approved Adcetris in combination with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin and prednisone for first-line treatment of adults with previously untreated systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (sALCL) or other CD30-positive peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL).
