Interactive 3D technology reveals hidden tumors during surgery

A team at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden has developed an augmented reality navigation technology for laparoscopic surgery. It overlays real-time 3D images of deep liver tumors and anatomical structures onto the surgeon's intraoperative camera view, helping locate tumors beneath the liver surface.
