Gilead's investigational oral drug emvistegrast met the primary endpoint in the Phase 2 SWIFT trial in moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis: the clinical response rate was 66% in the 200 mg group versus 37% for placebo, with the 75 mg and 25 mg groups at 51% and 43%, respectively.
