AI Can Deliver Medical Answers, but Who Makes the Medical Decisions

AI is moving from answering questions to taking part in actual scientific research, but who makes medical decisions remains the central question. Using its Claude research model, Anthropic generated more than 310,000 candidate protein designs in 64 hours, and 17 of them met the binding criteria for scorpion venom neurotoxins in follow-up experiments.
