Ambrose Healthcare Licenses AM-Pharma Sepsis Drug recAP for $181 Million

In brief

Ambrose Healthcare has licensed recombinant human alkaline phosphatase (recAP) from AM-Pharma for $181 million to treat sepsis-associated acute kidney injury. In 2015, Pfizer offered about 430 million euros to acquire the asset, but AM-Pharma shareholders rejected the bid. The deal, signed October 20, marks another change of ownership for recAP.
