Development and design rules for a modular human peptide-tag adaptor CAR T cell system
In brief
The Biosceptre team presents the BRiDGE CAR modular platform in a bioRxiv preprint and systematically analyzes how CAR and adaptor configurations affect function. A medium-length hinge combined with a full-length bivalent adaptor produced potent activity across multiple tumour antigens and controlled tumour growth across all tested xenograft models.
Why it matters
Systematically compared CAR hinge length, adaptor format and valency, and tested function via adaptor withdrawal, repeated dosing and IL-18 armoring, yielding transferable design parameters for modular CAR-T.
