Ravulizumab in IgA Nephropathy - Interim Analysis of a Phase 3 Trial.

In brief

In an interim analysis of a phase 3 trial in IgA nephropathy, ravulizumab produced a 24-hour urinary protein-to-creatinine ratio at week 34 that was 43.4% lower than placebo. Of 485 randomized patients, 352 were included in the interim analysis. The geometric mean ratio fell from a baseline of 1.56 to 0.83 in the ravulizumab group, a 46.6% reduction, versus 1.60 to 1.48 in the placebo group, a 5.6% reduction.

Why it matters

Provides the week-34 proteinuria reduction difference versus placebo with 99% CI, allowing quantification of effect size and comparison across similar studies.
