Nearly half of people who started GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic or Wegovy say they now drink less alcohol, and among heavier drinkers it was over half (54%), according to a new national US survey of 2,000+ adults published in JAMA Psychiatry. The drugs may act on the brain's craving and reward pathways.
