Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk Present GLP-1 Survival and Function Data at ARDD

At this year's Aging Research and Drug Discovery meeting (ARDD) in Boston, held October 1 to 3, Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk presented survival and physical-function data on GLP-1 medicines, suggesting anti-aging and longevity potential beyond weight loss. Class-effect evidence was said to point toward broader longevity potential, while semaglutide-specific data showed lower mortality, better physical function, and modeled gains in life expectancy. Both companies' reports carried substantial caveats.
