China Releases First Expert Consensus on Hepatitis D Prevention and Treatment

China's first expert consensus on the prevention and treatment of hepatitis D has been released jointly in the Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine and Chinese Journal of Hepatology. It was developed by top domestic experts organized by the Viral Hepatitis Elimination Promotion Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and the Hepatology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, to standardize screening, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of hepatitis D, which previously had no treatment in China. Implementation of the consensus in clinical and public health practice follows.
