Real-world, digital-first delivery of GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy in women
A structured clinical-digital hybrid program delivered GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy to 8,127 women from a community-based population over 6 months, with monthly clinician-led review, supervised weight confirmation and structured side effect mitigation. Of 16,121 individuals meeting initial screening criteria, 4,025 were excluded for not completing baseline blood testing and 308 after clinical review. Mean baseline weight was 104.2 kg and mean BMI 38.2 kg per m2, with 95.5% meeting criteria for class I to III obesity. It is one of the largest real-world evaluations of GLP-1RA therapy in a female community cohort and complements trial findings that enrolled predominantly male populations.
It provides large real-world evidence on GLP-1RA delivery to women, a majority user group underrepresented in cardiometabolic outcomes trials.
