Mapping micrometastatic seeds of relapse.

Spatial multi-omics applied to colorectal cancer mapped micrometastases in primary tumors and matched liver and lung metastases. Liver micrometastases emerge as an early evolved, stem-like, immune-suppressed residual disease state. The work links this state to a six-gene recurrence signature.
